Sustainability is not a new topic at Skyline Express – it has been an integral part of our corporate culture from the very beginning. Since our founding, we have taken responsibility – for our employees, our partners, our region, and the environment.

This recognition stands for responsible corporate management, lived sustainability, and outstanding social engagement among companies in the East Westphalia-Lippe region.

Sustainability has always been an essential part of our business operations – now it has also been visibly recognized.

With our strong regional commitment, which we consider self-evident, we took first place in the category “Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs).”

We are especially proud of this award, as it shows that taking responsibility pays off – for our environment, our employees, and the community in our region.

The CSR Award is presented every two years by the CSR Competence Center OWL, the GILDE Economic Development Agency Detmold, and the Initiative for Employment OWL e. V.

Sustainability in Practice

Sustainability at Skyline Express is reflected in many aspects of our daily operations. To make our commitment visible, we have defined three central areas of action: Environment, Social Responsibility, and Governance.

In these areas, we combine our initiatives, continuously develop new measures, and set targeted impulses for responsible corporate development.

Environment & Climate

Protecting the environment and climate is a key part of our corporate responsibility.

As a logistics service provider, we cannot influence every factor – but within our scope of action, we operate consciously and responsibly.

We rely on energy-efficient infrastructure, use sustainable energy sources, and promote environmentally friendly mobility at our sites. Modern lighting systems, renewable energy use, and charging stations for electric vehicles are standard for us.

Beyond that, we are committed to preserving biodiversity.

Our company premises in Lage provide a habitat for plants and animals – maintained through small projects such as our own beehives and green spaces. We also regularly support regional initiatives such as reforestation projects to contribute to environmental regeneration.

Our goal is to integrate ecological responsibility into every aspect of our operations – from energy supply and work processes to sustainable logistics solutions.

By supporting the White Hawks American football team, the Lopshorn Classics equestrian tournament, and Bikesport Lippe, we promote sports and community spirit. Animal welfare organizations and social institutions in our region also benefit regularly from our support.
