A change of perspective: This is how young talents see logistics

reading time: 3 minutes

At Skyline Express, we have been committed to the intensive training of our junior staff for many years. Young talents gain insights into all departments and can later specialize in air freight, sea freight, or land transport. Back office and sales also offer exciting tasks that challenge young talents. To ensure we continue to attract motivated young talent to our company, we consider the requirements, needs, and goals of potential employees. This includes analyzing studies such as the Logistics Initiative Hamburg (LIHH). These studies provide interesting results, such as:

  • 82.5 percent of logistics trainees are optimistic about the future.
  • 57 percent of the trainees surveyed would like to see greater emphasis placed on digital and transformative key skills – both in vocational school and within the company.
  • 40 percent of young people look to their parents or friends for advice when searching for a potential employer. Instagram, TikTok, and similar platforms remain important, of course, but they don’t replace traditional word-of-mouth recommendations.

At Skyline, we’re on the right track with the digitalization of key processes. But that’s not all. Find out here exactly what an apprenticeship at Skyline Express offers you.

Skyline Express will take you to your destination.
