Lina, when did you start your apprenticeship at Skyline and why did you apply there?
I live in Lage and often drove past Skyline by chance. The company building caught my eye, and since I was looking for an apprenticeship, I decided to take a closer look at the company. Skyline is a very modern logistics provider, and that suited me and my expectations. I started my apprenticeship at Skyline in August 2021.
What are your responsibilities, and what aspects of the apprenticeship at Skyline do you particularly enjoy?
I would especially mention the working atmosphere, because it’s really great! My tasks are also very varied. I process invoices, assist with organizing transport, and interact with a wide range of customers.
What do you think of the atmosphere at Skyline?
The working atmosphere is very friendly and collegial. I feel very comfortable here and am a real part of the team.
Why is the logistics sector so exciting for you?
Logistics is never boring; it’s constantly evolving, so every day is a little different from the day before. I like that.
What are your career plans after your apprenticeship?
After my apprenticeship, I’d like to continue working for a freight forwarding company—ideally at Skyline Express, if possible.
Do you have any advice for other young people who also want to start an apprenticeship at Skyline?
Yes, be open-minded and enjoy working with people. Anyone who wants to succeed in logistics needs to enjoy communication!
