10 Questions for… Lisa Kübach

When did you start at Skyline and why did you apply?

My first day at Skyline was October 1, 2018. I was born in Bielefeld, but I lived in Düsseldorf for a while and worked for a freight forwarding company there. Later, I moved back to East Westphalia to be closer to my family and friends. I’ve known our boss, Volker Sim, and some of the other members of the Skyline team since I was a child. So I knew what to expect at Skyline, and I was very happy to apply.

What are your responsibilities and what aspects of your job do you particularly enjoy?

I’m part of the Air Freight team and I’m responsible for processing and organizing shipments. I also keep an eye on aviation security and I’m a contact person for our trainees. At Skyline, we can all work very independently, which I really appreciate!

How do you find the work atmosphere at Skyline?

Quite simply: friendly and collegial!

Why is logistics so exciting for you?

The industry always presents new challenges, so I never get bored. Plus, as a company, we’re true all-rounders, and I enjoy the international flair.

What are your career plans for the coming years?

You can’t really plan much. But I’d like to pursue further training and get my instructor’s certificate (AdA).

What tips can you give to potential applicants who would also like to get their start at Skyline?

Enjoy working with people and stay open to everything!

I could never do without:
Working out at the gym. I love pushing myself to the limit and prefer to train every day. I’m also a real family person. And I can’t do anything without my friends.
