When did you start at Skyline and why did you apply?
My first day at Skyline was January 1, 2018. Before that, I completed an apprenticeship at a trucking company and wanted to continue working in the logistics industry. Skyline particularly appealed to me because I can work with international clients and partners here – especially in sea freight.
What are your responsibilities and what aspects of your job do you particularly enjoy?
I am responsible for sea freight export. This includes, among other things, handling furniture containers and customs clearance. I like taking on responsibility and being able to make many decisions down to the smallest detail with a great deal of autonomy. This allows me to independently develop solutions for a wide variety of challenges.
What is the work atmosphere like at Skyline?
It’s very friendly and welcoming. We’re a great team that supports each other and enjoys doing things together after work.
Why is logistics so exciting for you?
The work is very multifaceted. It requires a lot of creativity and resourcefulness. That’s the only way to act confidently and successfully in all situations.
What are your career plans for the coming years?
I want to continue learning every day and maintain my enjoyment of my work.
